Pantrini

Terms of service

Last updated 2 August 2026

The agreement between you and us when you use Pantrini.

The short version

1. Who you are agreeing with

Pantrini is operated by Raúl da Costa Gomes, Rua Dr. Teixeira Dias 29, 3090-495 Paião. Using the app means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.

You must be at least 16 years old to have an account.

2. Your account

3. Subscriptions and payment

The free trial

New accounts get 7 days of full access with no card required. When it ends, your pantry becomes read only until you subscribe.

What a subscription covers

One subscription covers a household, not a person. Everyone you invite to your pantries has full access at no extra cost, for as long as your subscription is active. You can create as many pantries as you like.

Access follows whoever owns a pantry. If you are a member of someone else's pantry, their subscription covers you there, and you need your own only for pantries you own yourself.

Prices and renewal

Prices are shown in the app before you buy, and that figure is what you are charged. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. If we change the price we will tell you by email at least 30 days beforehand, and the new price applies from your next renewal, never retroactively.

Cancelling and refunds

Failed payments

If a payment fails, Stripe retries it over several days and you keep access throughout. Only once the retries are exhausted does the pantry become read only.

4. What happens when a subscription ends

Your pantry becomes read only. You can still see every item, every date and every list. You cannot add or change anything until you subscribe again, and nothing is deleted while you are lapsed.

Your data is yours. We do not use an ended subscription as leverage to keep it.

5. Using the app properly

Do not:

We may suspend an account that does these things. Where the breach is minor and fixable we will say so first.

6. Product information, and food safety

Product names, brands, images and categories come from Open Food Facts, an open database maintained by volunteers, and are made available under the Open Database License. It can be incomplete or wrong, and much of a supermarket trolley is not in it at all, which is why the app also lets you enter products by hand.

Pantrini is an organisation tool, not a food safety tool. Expiry dates are whatever you or the database supplied. Alerts are a convenience and can be late, wrong or absent, for example if a notification fails to send or a date was typed incorrectly. Storage conditions, packaging damage and how something looks and smells all matter and none of them are visible to this app.

Always use your own judgement about whether food is safe to eat, and follow the packaging. We are not responsible for food that spoils, is thrown away unnecessarily, or is eaten when it should not have been.

7. Availability

We work to keep Pantrini running but do not promise it will always be available. It may be down for maintenance, because of a fault, or because something we depend on has failed. Features may change or be withdrawn.

If we discontinue the service entirely we will give at least 30 days notice by email, refund any unused part of a subscription, and provide a way to export your data.

8. Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms.

Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in any 12 month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.

You are responsible for your own records. The app is not a backup service.

9. Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which deletes your data as described in the privacy policy. We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms, and where we do we will explain why and refund any unused subscription unless the breach was deliberate.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and for any change that materially affects you we will give notice by email at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms. If you do not, cancel and we will refund the unused part of your period.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of Portugal. As a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your own local courts.

The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
